EA Technology, a global leader in electrical asset management and smart grid solutions, announced today that it has strengthened its leadership team in Australia with the appointment of Simon Rooney as its new Business Development Manager for VisNet, the company’s Low Voltage (LV) business.

In this newly created role, Simon brings over two decades of experience working with energy, utility and technology companies in business development, consulting, account management and engineering support roles to EA Technology. He has delivered customer solutions covering a range of energy industry applications from Battery Energy Storage Systems, Consumer Energy Resources, Microgrids, Electric Vehicles to Smart Metering.

Prior to joining EA Technology, he has held sales management roles in companies such as HCLTech, Oracle, Cyient and GE Digital.

At EA Technology, Simon is responsible for developing and securing new commercial opportunities for VisNet from EA Technology’s award-winning LV monitoring and modelling solutions that deliver more reliable and resilient grid access solutions. Working closely with electricity networks and asset owners, he will work with EA Technology’s technical and delivery teams to build strategic relationships that will support the expansion of VisNet in Australia and New Zealand.
