EcoTV hosted by Lara Shannon, the video version of EcoNews is set to hit the free to air television waves from December when it joins the line-up at C31.
Broadcast in the Victorian state capital, Melbourne, and the major regional city of Geelong, EcoTV’s take on environmental news and issues that affect our community, will bring a new dimension to the community TV station’s broadcasts..
Eco TV, with host Lara Shannon, will seek to shine a light on some of the difficult questions we face when it comes to climate change, sustainable practice, energy efficiency and ethical considerations for consumers.
Where there are green issues there are usually celebrities, why did J-Lo send prominent vegans, Ellen De Generes and Portia Di Rossi a meat based wedding gift and why was Xena the Warrior Princess arrested at an environmental protest?
You can find out the answer to these green celebrity questions on EcoTV.
Thirteen episodes of EcoTv will run on C31 from December 5 until February 27 at 6:30pm every Wednesday.
EcoTV originated as a web based TV channel created by Ballarat based online-display advertising and media content company, Carbon Market.
C31 Melbourne is proud to provide a platform for EcoTV to reach a broad audience via free to air television.
Channel 31 is uniquely Melbourne, the not-for-profit community station continues to enjoy strong support from Melbourne producers and universities who are creating edgy and engaging content unlikely to be seen on the national broadcasters.
C31 maintains that ‘open access’ to community television is an important component of the” Free To Air” landscape, providing diversity of voice, and opportunities for emerging producers.
