Hunt to open business sustainability conference

The Australian Sustainability Conference has announced the Environment Minister in Australia’s new conservative Liberal-National government, Greg Hunt, will be officially opening the largest business sustainability event of the year.

This is expected to be the new Environment Minister’s first official public address to the Australian business community as he opens the conference in a keynote address on October 9 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It is expected that Mr Hunt will speak on the role that Australian businesses can take in finding solutions for a more inclusive, low-carbon and resource-efficient world.

Also expected to be covered in his keynote presentation are key themes of how technology and innovation will be critical to improving economic growth and employment in Australia.

Mt Hunt’s address will be crucial for the Australian business sector as well as local and state governments looking to work towards a resilient Australia.
