The Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) will hold its first flagship Efficient Electric Homes: Market Acceleration Summit on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, at Ilumina, Sydney.
The Summit will explore how Australia can scale up retrofits across millions of existing homes to make them efficient, electric, flexible and powered by renewable energy, while improving their health, comfort and affordability on the pathway to 2035.
This one-day event will bring together global and Australian leaders that are shaping the future of the market for efficient, electric homes, including international keynote speaker Adrian Joyce, Secretary General of Efficient Buildings Europe, the peak body that drives the ambitious EU policy and legislation framework to deliver highly energy efficient, decarbonised, and flexible buildings by 2050.
Adrian is also the Director of the Renovate Europe Campaign, which works to drive up the renovations rate of the EU’s building stock to 3% per year by 2030, and to keep it at that rate until 2050. He will share how Europe is scaling retrofits and home renovations and what Australia can do on its journey through efficiency, electrification and flexible demand.
