Real stories. Running connections. A film night to inspire.
RunNation Film Festival returns for its 12th year in 2026, touring more than 30 locations across Australia and New Zealand from July to August.
Bringing together runners, filmmakers, and communities, RunNation showcases a curated selection of films that explore running beyond the finish line. The program features stories from local legends, global journeys, and everyday runners, capturing the reasons people run, the places it takes them, and the connections formed along the way.
RunNation has always been about more than running. It is about shared experiences. You sit in a room with hundreds of people and realise everyone connects to these stories in their own way. That is what makes it special.
The 2026 program delivers a mix of high-energy, fast-paced films alongside quieter, more personal stories. Together, they create a film night that resonates with both dedicated runners and those simply drawn to powerful storytelling.
What began as a small Sydney event has grown into an internationally recognised festival, while maintaining its core focus on authenticity, community, and meaningful storytelling.
The 2026 tour will visit over 30 locations across Australia and New Zealand, with screenings in major cities and regional communities.
