Tradies recognised nationwide as solar demand surges across Australia
Tradies across Australia are being recognised as part of Solahart’s inaugural Solahart Tradie Recognition Day – a national initiative acknowledging the essential role these skilled professionals play in helping households transition to solar and smart energy solutions.
Held on Friday 3 July 2026, the day saw Solahart dealerships across the country come together to celebrate the people behind Australia’s growing uptake of solar and clean energy solutions, including solar installers, electricians, plumbers and roofers.
To mark the occasion, Solahart hosted its “Lunch on Us” initiative across its nationwide network of dealerships, where teams paused to share a meal, connect, and celebrate those making the transition to solar possible for local households.
Solahart has now installed more than 1.4 million solar panels, over 77,000 inverters (systems), around 214MW of batteries, more than 1.5 million hot water systems and a growing fleet of heat pumps helping households reduce energy costs and emissions. This significant footprint has only been made possible by those working on the ground every day.
The initiative comes during a time of strong growth in solar and battery uptake, with rising energy costs and government incentives encouraging more households to explore ways to reduce their energy bills. In the first quarter of 2026, small-scale solar installations hit a new record with 77,000 systems installed nationally, while Australia now boasts over 400,000 battery systems[i].
While Australia’s broader National Tradie Day is celebrated each September, Solahart has created its own appreciation day to recognise those supporting its customers through one of the industry’s busiest periods.
Solahart General Manager Stephen Cranch said the initiative was an opportunity to recognise the people who play a critical role in supporting households as they make the switch to clean electrification.
“Over the past year, we’ve seen strong demand for solar as more Australians look for ways to manage their energy costs and take advantage of rebates and incentives. Behind that growth is a network of skilled tradies who are trusted in their communities and help households make informed decisions about their energy use, future-proof their homes, and keep systems running,” Mr Cranch said.
“Our Solahart Tradie Recognition Day is about acknowledging that contribution and taking a moment to thank those supporting Australia’s shift toward cleaner energy at a local level. With dealerships across the country, Solahart is local everywhere, and we’re proud to support the tradies who help households make access to solar possible.”

Recognising the people behind Australia’s solar transition
From Tasmania to Cairns, Solahart dealerships across Australia took part in the inaugural event, pausing to recognise their teams and the many installers, electricians, plumbers and roofers who support customers every day.
From helping households understand the right system for their needs through to installation, servicing and ongoing support, these local teams play a key role in making solar more accessible for communities around the country.
The Solahart Tradie Recognition Day is expected to become an annual event, forming part of Solahart’s broader commitment to recognising the excellence of its dealer network and the people supporting customers across Australia.
