St Vincent de Paul Society NSW (Vinnies NSW) has partnered with retailer Next Business Energy, and clean energy software company, Enosi, to introduce innovative solar energy sharing to multiple Vinnies sites across NSW.

Vinnies NSW have taken up Next Business Energy’s solar matching plan, Next Share Direct, utilising proprietary ‘Powertracer’ energy-matching software by Enosi.

Vinnies will be sharing their own excess rooftop solar exports generated by more than 30 sites across NSW, to match with the energy usage of more than 200 other sites in their portfolio.

Next Share Direct enables them to effectively share energy generated by solar panels installed on select sites, to other Vinnies’ sites across NSW, and create greater cost efficiency and lower carbon attribution across their properties.

In line with their ongoing commitment to sustainability and ethical consumption, Vinnies NSW is embracing a future-focused approach that showcases how smart technology, and solar innovation can deliver real impact on the journey toward a sustainable, true-zero future.

“We are proud to take this step toward a net-zero future, bringing together innovation and purpose to power our mission,” says Kathryn Kerr, Chief Financial Officer at St Vincent de Paul Society NSW.

“By harnessing the solar energy generated across our sites, we’ve been able to reduce our energy bills which allows us to free up more resources for the people we assist, and help the planet at the same time.”

Next Share Direct unlocks value for customers by matching excess solar energy with electricity demand they have at other sites across their portfolio. The Powertracer software enables energy matching every half hour of the day, allowing customers to bring their own energy to their electricity contract.

When Next Share Direct matches solar export with demand, Vinnies’ NSW sites will earn more than 8 times their standard Feed-in-Tariff. Next Business Energy have introduced Next Share Direct so their customers can maximise on bill savings by matching their own excess solar energy.

“Vinnies NSW has been a long-standing customer of Next Business Energy and it’s been exciting to launch such a progressive product offering to maximise their excess solar export” says Adam Vagvolgyi, Executive General Manager of Sales & Marketing at Next Business Energy.

“Vinnies coming onboard with the product really demonstrates their commitment to sustainability”.

In addition to enabling the matching of excess solar between Vinnies NSW sites, Enosi’s Powertracer platform has a digital portal that provides detailed solar export and consumption insights to help Vinnies track usage and monitor the performance of their participating rooftop solar systems.

“Vinnies NSW is a perfect example of how an organisation with affordable access to energy can pass on energy savings for the benefit of their work in the community,” said Steve Hoy, CEO of Enosi.

“Our goal is to make the benefits of clean energy more accessible to everyone, organisations and individuals. By working with Next Business Energy to seamlessly connect Vinnies’ sites through our platform, we’ve enabled one of Australia’s largest not-for-profit, multi-site organisations to unlock immediate savings and long-term sustainability.”
